This is your opportunity for us to show you first-hand the beauty of Seward, Lowell Point, and Resurrection Bay. While making our way by van to our kayaking location, learn about life in Seward, both past and present, from your driver-guide, who will narrate as we make our way through town.

As we leave the paved streets of Seward, we’ll travel along the shoreline of Resurrection Bay on the gravel surface of Lowell Point Road. We’ll view turquoise blue waters and beautiful mountain vistas while we travel comfortably by van to our private beach.

This trip is a very active, adventurous day, providing a great opportunity to combine both hiking and sea kayaking for those looking for an active adventure or kayaking experience. While kayaking we'll watch for sea otters, sea lions, porpoises, eagles, and sea birds. If time allows, our day will include a 650-foot elevation gain, a five-mile hike up to Fort McGilvray, an abandoned subterranean World War II military fort.

This trip is a big day with a lot of activity and exploration and is best for those with experience, or first-timers wanting a very active adventure. If a more relaxed pace sounds appealing, check out our Tonsina Point Kayak & Exploration.

After outfitting and instruction, we paddle five miles along the shoreline of Caines Head State Rec Area. As we kayak, surrounded by mountains and spruce, we’ll watch for wildlife and birds. We’ll enjoy our lunch on shore before beginning our hike to a beautiful waterfall or underground Fort McGilvray. Kids 12 and up are welcome to kayak with an adult in our two-person kayaks.
